Completion of Tailoring and Sewing Training with Employment of 18 Young Women under the Benaa 3 Project
Training 20 Young Women in Sohag with 18 Successfully Employed
The program provided 20 days of intensive practical training for 20 young women in Sohag, covering garment measurement, fabric cutting, sewing machine operation, pattern making, and clothing production in line with industry quality standards, preparing participants for careers in the ready-made garments sector. The program achieved outstanding results, with 18 participants securing employment immediately after completing the training, demonstrating its success in linking skills development with real labor market opportunities and promoting women's economic empowerment. The program was implemented under the Benaa 3 Project by ICTC Training and Consultancy in partnership with the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development (SFSD) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). It aims to equip youth with market-relevant skills, create sustainable employment opportunities, and support economic development in Assiut and Sohag.
